Kyokushin is known around the world as full-contact karate, and the training reflects that. Conditioning is taken seriously, techniques are practised with real power, and students learn to deal with the pressure of sparring in a controlled, respectful way. If you want a martial art that tests you, this is it.
Toughness is only part of the story. Students are taught control and good judgment, and the culture is one of looking after your training partners. You learn to give and take contact safely, to stay calm when things get intense, and to finish a round with a bow and a handshake.
Whether your goal is to compete, to get seriously fit or simply to find out what you are made of, there is a place for you. Beginners are brought along carefully, and those who want more can step up to a higher level of training when they are ready.
